Khadakwasla is located 20kms away from Pune. This place is mainly famous for the Khadakwasla Dam, which is a major attraction among locals and international tourists. The Khadakwasla Dam was constructed in the pre-independence period. The dam is a big one and many people enjoy their Sunday and holiday evenings here. The amazing view of Sinhagad and Peacock Bay is again a major attraction of Khadakwasla. Village Khadakwasla is just 12 kms away from Pune to the way to Sinhagad. It has a military importance as National Defense Academy (NDA) here is very famous in Indian Military History.

Many people come here at weekends and during the monsoon season. Scenic places around the dam include Peacock Bay, Kudje village, and Neelkanteshwar, located near Bahuli village just past Kudje. Some of the most prominent recipes being served here are - hummus sandwiches, tofu-burgers, avocado rolls, salads, fresh juices, fruit lassi and luscious desserts. Having been myself gone there in the past, I must say that this place rocks! The atmosphere looks to be electrifying always. One more thing I would like to add here is that I have never been through any place like German Bakery which has such unique ambiance and a personal touch. The food of course is unique and there is plenty of variety to choose from. Truly one of the best places in Pune to hangout with your friends and everyone.
